Did you know that in the Canine Fitness world we are meant to class dogs as ‘geriatric’ if they are seven years or older? Seven years old isn't old, right??!?
This presentation is all about Canine Fitness for our distinguished canine team mates. We will cover:
- When do you class your dog as geriatric in terms of their bodies?
- The normal physiological changes that impact your senior dog
- The benefits of exercise for your senior dog
- Tracking changes in your senior dog’s body
- Consideration of safety and appropriateness of fitness exercises
- Specific fitness exercises for your Senior dog
- Other fitness related activities that may benefit your senior dog
Remember, as with all fitness training it’s important that you discuss the appropriateness of such training with your dog’s veterinary health provider.
