First time we attempted our NW1, my hound mix Reilly was so stressed in the trial environment that he didn't stick any of the hides, not only costing us the title but earning us some grumpy notes from a judge about "poor odor obedience."
Well, after three months of busting our butts working in Stacy's generalization and proofing class, we earned our NW1 this weekend! Our notes from the judges included "Great leash handling" "love your relationship" and--wait for it!!-- "Good odor obedience!" Even had a few people approach me after searches to say how brave he was in the face of some scary environmental stuff. Very proud of my boy. Saving up money for our next Fenzi class!
