Newfoundland, Pa, beautiful weather, This was our 2nd attempt at NW1, I was nervous when we got to the vehilces (that's what we didn't get on the first try). This time when we got to that element the vehicles were in a completely different setup than when we did the walkthru. Then when I was sure he was in odor and indicated a motorcycle went by and distracted Ivan. I walked him the other way, where we hadn't been yet and then he pulled me back through the center isle - the cars were next to each other (about 3'4 ft apart) - and he took me right back to the odor. I called it - I knew it took more time but I was going for a Q not a time placement. That was our last search. Ivan is the 1st Mudi to ever take a NACSW title - or any nosework title that I'm aware of to date. We are working towards NW 2 but taking our time, he's already done the ORT for Anise, so we'll work through the winter and see where we are in the spring. Ivan also does Agility, and rally so he keeps busy.
