“Leave it” and “drop it.” They seem like such simple skills. And yet they can be anything but. Getting animals to leave things alone or give them up can feel impossible at times.
Don’t fret! Help is on the way! In this workshop, we will explore fun, force-free methods for getting a solid Leave It and Drop It. Topics covered will include different variations on teaching Leave It and Drop It, as well as the pros and cons of each. There will also be tips for longer-term training, including how to teach an automatic leave it, and more. Whether you are struggling with teaching Leave It and Drop It to a particular animal in your household, or are looking to help someone else teach these skills to their animals, you’ll leave this workshop with new ideas and tools.
