How can we expect our dogs to handle pressure if we struggle with it? We must be the anchor for our dogs. Our dogs rely on our handling in the ring. It gives them vital information. If there is even the slightest change, the dog will be confused…and that leads to stress. But when it’s time to trial, we get sooo nervous!! And that has a negative impact on our dog’s performance. What to do? In this workshop you will learn to develop solid training habits that will carry over to the ring. We will look at ways we can challenge ourselves to maintain focus, connection and self-awareness in training. We will also discuss some simple mental management strategies that you can implement immediately both when training and trialing. Whether you are just getting started or are a seasoned competitor, the strategies in this workshop will help you handle pressure like a pro.
