Course Details
Connection!! As an agility handler, you've likely heard many discussions about connection on course. You may have even been told to have a stronger connection when running - but that can be easier said than done. Running agility successful and comfortably requires the handler to be pretty fluent when it comes to running and not looking where you're going as well as having utilizing your peripheral vision. Neither of these things are something we tend to practice in every day life, which makes it all the more challenge to be proficient at both when running a course. We just naturally want to look where we're going or stepping
That's where this workshop comes in! Throughout this workshop, we will go through exercises to strengthen your peripheral vision and connection mechanics. Exercises will be a mix of ones with just you and ones with you and your dog. We will also be delving into common places that connection is dropped and why connection itself is so darn important within different aspects of the course. (Spoiler: there are many reasons! One of which is assisting your dog with their commitment to obstacles/lines.)
You will walk away from this workshop with a strong understanding of how to take your connection, and in turn your course performance, to the next level!
