Are you ready to supercharge your photography in just SIX WEEKS? Take Photographer's Choice!
Do you need another set of eyes on your sport photos to help you refine your technique and improve your keeper rate? Take Photographer's Choice!
Are you struggling with post-processing basics (even after taking Adjust the Dog)? Take Photographer's Choice!
Does in-camera composition still feel out of reach? Take Photographer's Choice!
Have you taken all my classes and just need a class to get you out and shooting again? Take Photographer's Choice!
Photographer's Choice gives you 6 weeks of One-to-One access for a bargain price. You won't find a better way to see progress in your photography than this! There are no set lectures or assignments -- you are in the driver's seat and I will follow wherever* you go!
Examples of topics:
- Portfolio review - submit 10-15 images for feedback and then work on revisions to incorporate suggestions for improvement
- Work through course materials from any of my classes that you have taken previously and didn't finish. You must have the class in your FDSA Library to do this.
- Set up a workflow for running a dog photography business. I will not talk about any of the legal requirements (sales tax, registering a business, etc). This is an opportunity to talk about how to find events/clients, how to set expectations for clients, what to expect at an event, how to take and process images, and how to go about selling photos and fulfilling orders. Keep in mind that I am a dog sports photographer, not a portrait photographer, so my bias is in that model.
- Action photography (beyond what is taught in Chase the Dog)
- Photographing birds and wildlife - how to find subjects, photography techniques for both perched and moving subjects, post-processing techniques
- Other ideas? Message me on Facebook (if we're FB friends) or email me (amy@focusedwild.com) to see if it's a good fit for this class!
*There are some things that aren't a good fit for the class because I don't have a lot of experience with them.
- Studio photography and lighting
- Taking macro and/or flower photos
- Landscapes are only okay if you've done them in person with me at a workshop
There will be no Silver students in this class. There is no TA for this class.
Teaching Approach
There are no lectures in this class. All discussions are student-led and based on their prior photography experience. Instructor feedback will be a combination of written and screenshare videos (with captions).
