Course Details
As dog trainers, we spend a lot of time ensuring that our dogs love to work with us. Training becomes very valuable to the dog, and when they have to miss out, there are often big feelings. These frustrated feelings can emerge through vocalization, minor destruction, and other anxiety-related behaviors.
In this workshop, we’ll talk about FOMO (fear of missing out), when dogs worry about missing out. It happens when there's more than one dog at home and they all want a turn or when dogs see others having a good time. There are strategies that we can incorporate to help our dogs deal with their big feelings and replace undesirable behaviors with alternatives that are more acceptable to us.
Join me for this workshop as we teach some effective strategies for your dog to manage their feelings of frustration. By the end of the week, you’ll be armed with some management tools and relaxation games to help your dog self-regulate and reduce arousal.
