Course Details
When heeling in the ring, dogs feel pressure from the judge, ring gates, walls, the environment and often from us. Dogs want to either move away from pressure or have trouble working when they feel pressure. Pressure is just downright uncomfortable for them! In this workshop we will look at changing the dog’s relationship to pressure. Done correctly, pressure can cue a positive conditioned emotional response. In this workshop we will look at a variety of games that will make pressure work fun. Dogs will gain confidence and resilience when heeling around pressure. Whether you are teaching your dog to heel, or your dog is a seasoned competitor, the games in the course will change your dog’s relationship to pressure.
