When you watch certain teams in the ring the entire performance looks effortless. What do they know that we don’t? Top handlers are completely focused on their dogs and their handling. Their dogs are confident and flow from one exercise to the next. In this workshop we will look at how to improve handler focus in the ring. This will free your mind and improve your handling and confidence. Good handling creates predictability for your dog which boosts their confidence in the ring. We will discuss how to improve your transitions to set your dog up for success at the beginning of each exercise. We will talk about maintaining connection. Why it’s so important and how to get that in your own performance. Finally, we will address how to teach your dog to stay focused for an extended period of time. The result? A ring performance that flows and looks like one long effortless performance.
