Course Details
If you have a sensitive dog, you know that training can be extra challenging. Trialing adds another level of difficulty. They see the world differently and require very specific handling. These dogs rely on us to create a safe environment when training and trialing. We must be able to build their confidence and resilience without overwhelming them. Zeal was noise and motion sensitive and afraid of random inanimate objects. He couldn’t handle the slightest amount of environmental pressure and couldn’t stand making mistakes. It took a lot of patience and hard work, but he developed into a confident dog that was able to compete at the highest level. Your dog can too! In this workshop we will look at how to set your dog up for success, handle errors, read your dog and communicate in a way that creates a courageous dog.
