Course Details
ALL performance dogs need resilience. Even with the best training plan dogs will encounter some level of confusion, frustration, and error. No matter how you slice it, trialing involves stress and pressure. Dogs need resilience to handle these challenges. Resilience in training is not innate in our dogs. We need to provide them with skills that enable them to handle training and the ring with ease and confidence. In this workshop I will show you how to teach resilience mindfully and systematically. Done correctly you not only teach your dog resilience, you will build their confidence, attitude and drive under pressure. When your dog does make a mistake, they will have the skill set to recover and continue on. A resilient dog can thrive when encountered with challenges in training and in the ring.
