Marking is how we communicate with our dogs. Humans tend to use to many words, interchange their words and use them inconsistently. We ask a lot of our dogs, we owe it to them to speak their language. Clean, consistent marking drives efficient training. It creates confident dogs that LOVE to work. Good clean marking speeds up your training process because dogs learn more quickly. With good marking dogs have a much higher success rate with minimal frustration. By focusing on quality over quantity your training sessions will be shorter. In this workshop we will focus on improving our marking skills. We will break exercises down into small pieces to improve communication. We will look at how to mark behaviors that are part of a chain. Letting your dog know exactly what piece was right or wrong at the exact moment it happens will improve your training and strengthen your relationship. Dogs don’t speak our language. They will be grateful you are speaking theirs.
