This advanced level workshop will cover tips, tricks and tweaks for experienced dock diving dogs with a focus on fixing issues or improving skills/strategy for the specialty games in dock diving (such as high jump, air retrieve, and speed retrieve type events). Dogs with working spots will need access to a safe dock and body of water (lake or pool) and access to the equipment for the specialty game of choice. Watch the trailerCourse Details
The workshop will cover training techniques to build confidence, speed, and resilience as well as strategic considerations during training and trialling.
If you've got questions about: where (and how!) to start your dog on the dock to optimize striding, how to choose your entry point for games that allow you to decide a starting height or distance, how to avoid common handling errors that make these games harder for your dog, what to do if your dog misses the bumper, how to improve swimming speed, when to make changes to your dog's starting position in training or trialling- this workshop will answer all of these for you and give you practical ways to make improvements for your dog's specialty games!
